Call of Duty’s new Gundam collab allows you to play as four iconic mobile suits

A massive collaboration between the first-person shooter (FPS) game “Call of Duty Mobile” and the “Mobile Suit Gundam” franchise has been revealed.
The new content is part of the upcoming “Call of Duty Mobile” Season 6 update which has been titled “Gundams Arrive”.
This update will introduce iconic mobile suits from various eras of the Gundam universe into the mobile game.

“Call of Duty Mobile”, developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Activision, is a free-to-play first-person shooter available on iOS and Android devices.
Since its launch in 2019, it has become one of the most successful mobile games in history, known for bringing the fast-paced, competitive gameplay of the “Call of Duty” series to a mobile platform with a mix of multiplayer and battle royale modes.

This new collaboration follows previous crossovers between Gundam and other FPS titles like “Overwatch 2” earlier this year, and “Call of Duty: Warzone” in 2024.
The centerpiece of this collaboration is a new, limited-time multiplayer mode called “Gundam Team Deathmatch”.

In this 4-on-4 team battle mode, players will be able to control highly detailed, realistically rendered mobile suits.
This new mode will be played from a third-person perspective, which is a departure from the game’s typical first-person view.
The featured mobile suits are fan favorites from different Gundam series, including:
- ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam

Kira Yamato’s mobile suit from “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” is known for its high-speed combat and impressive firepower.
- MSN-04 Sazabi

The iconic red mobile suit piloted by Char Aznable in “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack” is a powerful and imposing machine from the Universal Century timeline.
- RX-93 ν Gundam

- XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell (EW)

A mecha from “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz” known for its stealth capabilities, massive beam scythe and imposing bat-like “wings”.
The inclusion of this particular suit is a nod to the 30th anniversary of the “Gundam Wing” series.
In “Gundam Team Deathmatch”, battles will be smaller and more dynamic than standard gameplay and will focusing intense duels between mobile suits.
Participating in the “Gundam Team Deathmatch” mode and completing themed challenges will allow players to earn a variety of free rewards.

Players will utilize mobility features such as thruster dashes, evasion maneuvers, and vertical jet boosts to navigate the battlefield.
Each mobile suit is designed with unique special abilities and weapons that reflect its anime counterpart, offering a diverse range of combat styles.
The “Survival of the Fittest” event offers items such as a Legendary J358 pistol with a “Fin Funnel ν Gundam” theme, an “Urban Tracker – Defense Force Operator” skin, a Cryo Bomb with a “Haro” reskin, and a “Haro Team” emote.
The collaboration officially begins on July 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST).
The game is available as a free download on both iOS and Android platforms, with optional in-app purchases for cosmetic items and other content.
