Bushiroad Adds “Tales of” Series to Weiss Schwarz TCG
A major new expansion has been announced for the popular anime and game-centric trading card game Weiss Schwarz.
The “Tales of Series Trial Deck & Booster Pack” brings characters from ten different titles in the long-running RPG franchise to the competitive card game.
Weiss Schwarz, which is produced by Bushiroad, is known for its crossover system that currently boasts over 150 different manga, anime, and game titles.
This specific release allows players to build decks featuring legendary heroes and heroines from the Tales of history.
The expansion is divided into two product types: a pre-constructed Trial Deck for beginners and Booster Packs for enhancing existing collections.
A major draw for collectors is the inclusion of foil-stamped signature cards from the original voice cast.
The Booster Pack features a wide array of high-rarity cards, including SSP (Super Special) and SP (Special) varieties.
It also includes 20 different types of foil-stamped design cards featuring newly drawn illustrations.
The Trial Deck is a ready-to-play set containing 50 cards, a quick manual, a deck guide, and a playmat.

The Trial Deck is priced at 1,650 yen (approx. $11.00 USD / £8.80 GBP).
Sales for both the Booster Pack and Trial Deck are scheduled to begin on Friday, January 16.
