BLEACH’s Official Artbook Collection Returns with Two New 25th Anniversary Editions
Image by Charlotte DavisOne of the biggest collections of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH artwork is returning after almost eight years, with Shueisha reviving the previously released JET artbooks as two expanded editions for the manga’s 25th anniversary.
BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 I and BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 II bring back the complete illustration archive from the original 2018 release while adding artwork Kubo has produced for BLEACH and BURN THE WITCH in the years since.
BLEACH began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001 and followed Ichigo Kurosaki after he gained the powers of a Soul Reaper, eventually growing into one of the magazine’s defining series before concluding in 2016 after 74 volumes.
The original BLEACH Illustrations JET arrived in December 2018 as a deluxe, completely made-to-order release, collecting more than 700 pieces of Kubo’s artwork and becoming considerably harder to obtain once its initial production ended.
Rather than simply printing the same books again, the 2026 editions expand the collection with illustrations created after JET’s original publication, covering more recent BLEACH material alongside Kubo’s BURN THE WITCH artwork.
That newer material includes artwork connected to BLEACH: No Breaths From Hell, known in Japan as Gokui Meimei-hen, as well as illustrations from the serialized BURN THE WITCH project.
Shueisha is also using the same types of ink and paper as the original JET release, retaining the presentation that helped make the 2018 collection such a sought-after piece of BLEACH merchandise.
There is an important difference for collectors expecting completely new artwork, as neither 2026 volume contains illustrations drawn specifically for this re-release, with the new additions instead consisting of Kubo’s work created during the years following JET.
The BURN THE WITCH bonus comic packaged with the original 2018 edition is also not being included with either of the new books.
BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 I runs for 304 pages, while Shueisha’s has confirmed BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 II has a 216-page count, creating a combined collection of more than 500 pages of Kubo’s artwork.
The return of JET is only one part of a much larger 25th anniversary celebration, with Shueisha also launching BLEACH ART SELECTION, the franchise’s first popularity vote dedicated specifically to individual pieces of artwork.
Around 100 illustrations taken from the two JET 2026 books have been chosen for the poll, with fans able to cast one vote per day between August 10 and August 30.
The 25 highest-ranked illustrations will be revealed on October 2 and used to create a special promotional video celebrating BLEACH’s 25th anniversary, directly connecting the fan vote with the release of the new artbooks.
Another project growing out of Kubo’s artwork is DON’T BLEACH MY FIST II, with Ryohgo Narita returning to write a second novel based around the alternate school setting that reimagines BLEACH’s characters as students.
The concept originally began as an April Fools’ project before Narita transformed it into a full novel, with the first DON’T BLEACH MY FIST released in Japan on June 4, 2026, and following Ichigo as a new student at Gotei High while powerful students from Stern Cross Academy close in on him.
DON’T BLEACH MY FIST II will focus on the meeting between Ichigo and Jo Hyouzaki, leading into a series of incidents that appear to have someone manipulating events from behind the scenes, although Shueisha has yet to announce a release date.
Kubo’s original artwork will also return to galleries across Japan in 2027 through BLEACH EX. II, a new exhibition scheduled for summer 2027 that follows the first BLEACH EX. event launched in December 2021.
A venue, opening date, and ticket details have not yet been announced for BLEACH EX. II, leaving the new exhibition as one of the larger anniversary projects still waiting for a full reveal.
The manga’s anniversary is arriving during an equally active period for the anime, with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War currently in its fourth and final cour, The Calamity, continuing the adaptation of the manga’s concluding battles.
Bandai Namco is also developing BLEACH Mirrors High, a new mobile game featuring an original story set after the Thousand-Year Blood War where players create their own Soul Reaper, customize their Zanpakuto, and fight alongside familiar characters such as Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji.
BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 I is priced at ¥4,400 (approx. $28 USD / £20 GBP), while BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 II costs ¥3,740 (approx. $23 USD / £17 GBP), with both Japanese-language books now available to pre-order through select international hobby goods retailers.
Both volumes officially release in Japan on October 2, 2026.
