Beta test applications open for new Digimon Card Game app

Bandai has announced that a closed beta test will be held for its upcoming smartphone app, Digimon Alysion.
Digimon Alysion is a new mobile game that brings the popular physical Digimon Card Game to a digital format.

The game will allow players to build decks and battle against each other online, preserving the core gameplay of the physical trading card game.
It follows the recent announcements of games for several other properties, such as The Apothecary Diaries, Kaiju No.8, and Shonen Jump+.

The new app is set in the same universe as the ongoing web comic and novel series, Digimon Liberator.
This story, which unfolds in a metaverse space, will be expanded upon in Digimon Alysion, with new Digimon, new human characters, and new Digivolutions set to make their debut in the game.

The upcoming closed beta test is designed to test the game’s systems and server load, and to gather feedback from players to improve the quality of the final product.
Applications to participate in the global test are now being accepted and a total of 10,000 participants will be selected from a worldwide pool of applicants.

The test will be conducted on both iOS and Android devices sometime in August, with the specific dates to be announced later.
The application period for the closed beta test began today, Monday, the 28th of July, 2025, and will remain open until 10:59 AM on Sunday, the 3rd of August, 2025.

A new promotional video for the game has also recently been released, featuring a theme song performed by the NIJISANJI EN VTuber, Enna Alouette.
Digimon Alysion will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases, but a final release date has not yet been announced.
More information can be found on the official Digimon Alysion website.
