Bandai Unveils New Premium SD Gundam World Heroes Model Kit Set

Bandai has officially revealed a new premium version of a popular SD Gundam World Heroes model kit set that features striking alternative chibi versions of two iconic mobile suits.

SD Gundam World Heroes is a spin-off of the long-running Gundam franchise that reimagines iconic Mobile Suits as stylized heroes inspired by different historical eras and cultures, with SD Gundam World Heroes: Kirahagane Monogatari set in the samurai-themed Musha World.

The “SDW HEROES Revival Kirahagane DX Set [Special Coating]” is based on SD Gundam World Heroes: Kirahagane Monogatari and brings together Musha Gundam 78 and Shinobi Gundam Aerial in their revived Kirahagane forms with an upgraded “Special Coating” finish.

Musha Gundam 78 is a samurai-inspired reinterpretation of the legendary RX-78 Gundam, featuring newly designed crimson armor enhanced with Kirahagane elements that reflect the setting’s traditional Japanese aesthetic.

For this premium release, the Mobile Suit’s gold armor sections have been upgraded with plated finishes that further emphasize the revived Kirahagane appearance, while the included action frame allows for a wide range of expressive poses.

Shinobi Gundam Aerial combines the classic Shinobi Gundam concept from the SD Sengokuden series with Gundam Aerial, the lead Mobile Suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, creating a next-generation ninja warrior unique to the SD Gundam World Heroes universe.

Its revived Kirahagane armor features newly plated components across the head and chest, while its animal companion Shisa also receives a full plated finish to match the upgraded presentation.
