Bandai reveals new and exclusive Char’s Counterattack Gunpla kit

Bandai Spirits has officially announced the release of a new limited-edition model kit available at “GUNDAM SIDE-F,” the dedicated Gunpla complex in Fukuoka.
The “HG 1/144 Geara Doga (Heavy Armed Specification)” is a specialized variant designed to recreate the imposing presence of the Neo Zeon mass-produced mobile suit.

The Geara Doga was introduced in the classic film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, and this kit captures the updated aesthetic of the Heavy Armed Specification featured in the film’s Mobile Suit Variations design series.

The model adopts a heavy armament profile, featuring a newly sculpted backpack equipped with massive propellant tanks and stabilizers that are fully flexible.

As part of the High Grade line, the kit balances intricate detail with articulation, including a movable mono-eye and a dedicated blade antenna for the head unit.
A standout feature is the Lange Bruno Gun, which utilizes special processing on the barrel to create a realistic texture unique to this release.

The weapon includes lead wires to replicate power cables, a folding mechanism for storage, and a soft resin belt that allows for natural mounting on the back.
Builders can also enjoy additional accessories such as a beam axe with clear effect parts, Sturm Faust grenade launchers, and two types of magazines with sticker-based linking tape.

This release follows a series of major announcements celebrating the Gundam franchise’s 45th anniversary, including new merchandise for the series’ crossover with Hatsune Miku.
The collaboration has recently launched a line of plush toys and “chibi” mascots depicting Miku in costumes inspired by mobile suits like the Wing Gundam Zero and Strike Freedom.

The “HG 1/144 Geara Doga (Heavy Armed Specification)” kit is scheduled for release on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

It will be sold as an advance release at GUNDAM SIDE-F with a retail price of 3,850 yen (approx. $25.00 USD / £20.00 GBP).
