Bandai Announces New HG Xi Gundam (Circe’s Witch Ver) Gunpla Kit
Pre-orders have officially begun for a new High Grade (HG) model kit from Bandai Spirits, updating the protagonist unit from the film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway series to match its appearance in the latest film, “The Sorcery of Nymph Circe”.
The “HG 1/144 Xi Gundam (Circe’s Witch Ver.)” offers a revised take on the massive mobile suit, featuring newly designed armaments and parts to replicate specific scenes from the movie.
Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway is a film trilogy adapting the novel series by Yoshiyuki Tomino, following Hathaway Noa as he leads the anti-Federation organization Mafty under the alias Mafty Navue Erin.
The Xi Gundam serves as his personal machine, a fifth-generation mobile suit equipped with a Minovsky Flight System that allows for supersonic flight within the atmosphere without a sub-flight system.
This kit captures the unit’s ability to transform, allowing for the interchange and rearrangement of parts to shift between its standard Mobile Suit form and the aerodynamic Flight Form.
A key feature of this release is the inclusion of a “Beam Rifle Barrel Holder” and a specialized shield that reproduces a damaged state.
Unlike standard releases that might rely on decals for damage effects, the battle damage on the shield is achieved through molding for a more authentic look.
The head unit offers a choice during construction, allowing builders to choose between the standard appearance and a “Gundam Face” version.
The kit includes two beam sabers, the beam rifle barrel holder, the shield assembly, various hand parts, including a manipulator reproduction wrist, face parts, joint parts, and stickers.
The “HG 1/144 Xi Gundam (Circe’s Witch Ver.)” is priced at 7,700 JPY (approx. $52 USD / £41 GBP) and it is set for release in Japan in April 2026.
It will be available via major hobby goods retailers, such as HobbyLink Japan.
