Astro Bot’s DualSense spaceship is being turned into a die-cast figure by Bandai

BANDAI SPIRITS has announced a new high-end collectible based on the critically acclaimed PlayStation 5 action game, Astro Bot: the “Chogokin Astro Bot & DualSpeeder.”
“Chogokin,” which translates to “Super Alloy,” is a legendary line of die-cast, pre-painted, and finished figures from Bandai, renowned for its high-quality construction and heavy, metallic feel.

This new release will be a recreation of the controller-shaped spaceship that Astro Bot pilots in the game.
The ship is based on the PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller, but in keeping with the sci-fi theme of the Astro Bot game, it also has thrusters and wings, which add an element of dynamism to the figure as they are in their fully deployed state.

The images released so far also confirm that a figure of the protagonist, Astro Bot, will also be included and can be seen holding on as the controller-shaped ship boosts itself toward its next adventure.

This new collectible is the latest in a wave of high-profile Astro Bot merchandise, following Sony’s recent announcement of a re-release for its highly sought-after, themed DualSense controller.

That controller, now dubbed the “Joyful” edition, features a new “smiling” touchpad design and is scheduled for release on October 30th.
This new “Chogokin” figure offers fans an even more premium and detailed way to celebrate the iconic design of the game.

The new “Chogokin Astro Bot & DualSpeeder” was officially announced today, Wednesday, the 22nd of October.
Further details regarding the figure’s price, as well as a potential pre-order and release date, have not yet been revealed.
