Alien: Isolation 2 Confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC

SEGA and Creative Assembly officially revealed Alien: Isolation 2 on June 5, 2026, during the Summer Game Fest 2026 event.

The sequel to the 2014 survival horror hit is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via Steam, and Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 console.

While the announcement has generated significant excitement within the industry, a specific release date for the project has not yet been established.

Creative Director Al Hope stated on June 5, 2026, that the dedicated survival team is working to create an evolved experience that continues the legacy of the franchise.

This new entry aims to make the eponymous Xenomorph smarter and the environmental conditions more punishing to ensure the chance of survival is slimmer than ever before.

Players will navigate a storm-ravaged colony world and explore the claustrophobic interiors of Kurosaki Station, which serves as a remote Weyland-Yutani outpost.

The game features a brand new protagonist and story, forcing survivors to develop fresh tactics and tools to avoid the galaxy’s most efficient killer.

The original title was praised for its atmospheric tension and faithful recreation of the original film’s aesthetic, a tradition this sequel intends to uphold through modern hardware capabilities.

The reveal trailer shown on June 5, 2026, highlighted the shift to more open surface exploration alongside the series’ signature corridor-based horror.
