Event Overview

Each year, coinciding with the Golden Week holiday period, the Kanoya Naval Air Base opens its grounds to the general public for the observance of the Air Memorial.

In a manner similar to numerous other festival events, the Air Memorial features a variety of food stalls, providing attendees with a range of culinary options, as well as musical performances, offering entertainment for those in attendance.

Opening Times:

Air Show

• Time: 8:30-15:00
• Contents: P-1 training demonstration, civilian acrobatic aircraft aerobatics, helicopter training demonstration, etc.

Ground Events

• Time: 8:30-15:00
• Contents: Ground demonstrations at the Self-Defense Forces Air Base, drill performances, music events (Sasebo Band concerts, etc.),
  runway bus tours, muscle contests, etc.

Food Stalls

• Time: 9:00-15:30
• Number of stores: Approximately 110
