Ai Yazawa’s NANA Collaborates With Love Liner for Limited Edition Cosmetics Line
Japanese cosmetics brand msh has announced a new collaboration between its eye makeup label “Love Liner” and the hit manga series “NANA”.
The limited edition “Love Liner x NANA Design” series will see some of the most popular Love Linger beauty tools offered in exclusive NANA-themed packaging.
Written and illustrated by Ai Yazawa, NANA defined a generation of readers, exploring the complex friendship and personal struggles of two young women who share the same first name.
The story follows the ambitious punk rocker Nana Osaki and the cheerful, romance-seeking Nana Komatsu, often nicknamed Hachi, as they navigate life and love in Tokyo.
This new cosmetic crossover aligns the individual styles of Nana and Hachi with Love Liner’s philosophy of encouraging individuals to embrace their own personal definitions of beauty.
The outer packaging features a creative visual gimmick where placing two eyeliner boxes side-by-side completes a single heart motif, representing the special bond between the two girls.
The visual design also incorporates subtle details related to Room 707, the iconic apartment the two protagonists shared during the series.
