Ado’s first “best-of” album to receive limited edition vinyl release

The Japanese record label Universal Music has announced a limited-edition vinyl release for the first best-of album from the singer Ado.
The 22-year-old artist, who is now entering her fifth anniversary year, first achieved mainstream success in 2020 with her explosive major-label debut single, “Usseewa”.

Her career began as an “utaite”, a term for singers who gain popularity by posting song covers on the internet, and she has since become a major force in the music industry, known for her powerful and versatile vocal performances.

This new release marks the first time her greatest hits collection, Ado no Best Adobum, will be available on analog record.
It comes amidst her latest world tour, which will head to the Tokyo Dome in November.

The collection is being split into two separate volumes, each pressed on a high-quality, heavyweight two-LP set designed to be played at 33 1/3 RPM.
The album artwork for both volumes features new illustrations created specifically for this vinyl release by ORIHARA, who serves as Ado’s image director.

Each volume contains 20 tracks, showcasing the breadth of her career and her frequent collaborations with a wide array of prominent producers and songwriters.
