A free Halloween update is coming to Palworld this week

A new, Halloween-themed update has been announced for the hit monster-taming and survival game, Palworld.
The announcement was made today by the developer, Pocketpair.

This new, v0.6.8 (Halloween) update is being released to celebrate the upcoming holiday on the 31st of October.
A teaser for the update has been released, which shows the main faction leader and boss, Zoe, in a new, special, Halloween-themed costume.

The announcement also teased the appearance of a “mysterious someone” who is wearing a “kigurumi,” or costume, of the Pal, Depresso.
This mysterious figure, who looks like a Depresso but is not, will reportedly be seen in the player’s base and out in the field.

The developers have also hinted that some “mischief” may occur in Palworld as part of this new, spooky update.
This update appears to be one of the “multiple surprises” that were mentioned as part of the game’s recent development roadmap video.

In that video, which was released last month, the developer’s Communications Director, Bucky, confirmed that the full “Version 1.0” of the game is scheduled for release in 2026, and that several new content updates were still planned for the remainder of 2025.
Full details of the v0.6.8 (Halloween) update are scheduled to be announced soon.
Palworld is currently available in Early Access for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox.

The new, free update is scheduled to be released on Thursday, the 23rd of October.
