What to expect at Yushima Tenjin Chrysanthemum Festival 2024 

Yushima Tenjin Chrysanthemum Festival 2024 is the 46th annual chrysanthemum festival to be held at Yushima Tenjin Shrine in Bunkyo City, Tokyo.

Chrysanthemums are one of the national flowers of Japan and are celebrated at the festival with a variety of displays.

In total there will be around 2,000 chrysanthemum flowers on display within the grounds, including giant chrysanthemum and bonsai.

One of the most impressive displays at the festival are the chrysanthemum dolls.

This year the 3 dolls are based on scenes from the NHK historical drama “Dear Radiance”.
