What to expect at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden Chrysanthemum Exhibition 2024
The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden Chrysanthemum Exhibition celebrates Japan’s national flower that is closely associated with the Imperial family.
The Japanese garden at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in late autumn is beautifully decorated with distinctive chrysanthemum flowers, unfolding a world of traditional Japanese beauty.
Within the garden the flower beds are positioned in places that harmonize with the maple trees, allowing visitors to enjoy the atmosphere as they explore.
There will be a number of different varieties of chrysanthemum on display at the gardens, such as classical Chrysanthemums, Edo Chrysanthemum, Higo Chrysanthemum and Tube Chrysanthemum.
During the Chrysanthemum Flower Bed Exhibition, the Information Center outside the Shinjuku Gate entrance gate will be hosting a “Chrysanthemum Flower Bed Commentary Exhibition“.
When will Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden Chrysanthemum Exhibition 2024 take place?
The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden Chrysanthemum Exhibition will run from the 1st November 2024 until the 15th November 2024.
Opening times are 09:00 to 16:00 daily (gates close at 16:30).

Entry to the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden Chrysanthemum Exhibition 2024 is priced as follows:
- Adults: 500 yen
- 65 years and older: 250 yen *Proof of age must be presented at the counter.
- Students (high school students and above) 250 yen *Student ID must be presented at the counter.
- Children (junior high school students and younger): Free

Nearest Station: The Chrysanthemum Exhibition is best accessed from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station using the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line.
You can also access the exhibition from Shinjuku-sanchome Station by taking the Toei Subway Shinjuku Line or the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line.
