Hamura Tulip Festival 2026

Last Updated on March 17, 2026

The city of Hamura in western Tokyo is preparing to host its annual Tulip Festival, an event that brings a vibrant display of color to the scenic Tama River area.

Organizers are busy readying the fields where approximately 400,000 tulips of various colors and varieties will soon be in full bloom for the public to enjoy.

The festival takes place at the Negarami-mae Paddy Fields, a unique agricultural space that serves as rice paddies during the summer months and a massive floral garden during the spring season.

Visitors will have the opportunity to walk along dedicated paths through the expansive fields, which are considered among the largest tulip displays in the Kanto region.

In addition to the floral scenery, the event will feature a variety of local food stalls and refreshment stands to enhance the experience for families and nature enthusiasts.

A viewing platform is typically erected to provide guests with a panoramic perspective of the colorful patterns created by the densely planted flowers.

The festival serves as a significant community gathering that highlights the natural beauty of the Hamura area while supporting local tourism and agriculture.

Access to the site is convenient for those traveling from central Tokyo, as it is located within walking distance of Hamura Station on the JR Ome Line.
