Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Obelisk the Tormentor joins model kit range from Bandai
BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has unleashed its latest creation: the ‘Figure-rise Standard Amplified -The God of Obelisk Descends- Obelisk the Tormentor’ model kit.
From the world of “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters,” one of the legendary Egyptian God Cards, Obelisk the Tormentor, has been brought to life in the dynamic ‘Amplified’ style.
Standing at an impressive height of approximately 235mm, this model kit has an overwhelming presence befitting of the iconic monster card.
The intricate details of Obelisk have been meticulously recreated, including the gem on its forehead and its sharp teeth, all thanks to sophisticated molding techniques.
The model features unfolding gimmicks in its chest, shoulders, arms, and wings, with the wing membranes showcasing finely detailed molding.
The articulation in the legs also allows for the creation of a kneeling pose.
The signature attack, “God Hand Crusher”, also known as “Fist of Fate” in English adaptations of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, has been uniquely interpreted within the figure’s framework, offering fans the chance to recreate the devastating move.
A full set of interchangeable hand parts is also included, further expanding display possibilities.
The Figure-rise Standard Amplified -The God of Obelisk Descends- Obelisk the Tormentor is on sale starting April 26th, 2025, priced at 9,130 yen (tax included, approx $63.42 USD/£47.73 GBP).
Fans can pick up the new model kit from the majority of hobby products stockists throughout Japan or online.
