You can now pre-order the new "Ninja Gaiden 3" Ryu Hayabusa action figure

Action figure manufacturer Kaiyodo is now accepting pre-orders for their latest addition to the “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi” line, a highly anticipated figure of Ryu Hayabusa.

This new collectible brings to life the hero of Koei Tecmo Games’ action-packed NINJA GAIDEN series, and is based on his appearance in “NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge”.

The figure was announced earlier this month alongside a figure of Kasumi, the female ninja from the Dead or Alive series, based on her appearance in “NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge”.

The NINJA GAIDEN series is known for its fast-paced, challenging gameplay and stylish ninja action and has built a large global fanbase since its initial release in 1988.

Ryu Hayabusa, the legendary dragon ninja, has been the central protagonist throughout the series, captivating players with his exceptional combat skills and stoic demeanor.

“NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge,” released in 2012 as an enhanced version of “NINJA GAIDEN 3”.

The “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Ryu Hayabusa” figure captures his appearance from “NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge”, featuring the completely new ninja outfit designed for this iteration of the game.

Staying true to the Amazing Yamaguchi line’s reputation for dynamic posability, the figure boasts a highly articulated body, allowing collectors to recreate a wide array of Ryu’s signature ninja moves.

A notable feature is the inclusion of an “eyeball gimmick,” enabling subtle adjustments to Ryu’s gaze for even more expressive posing.

Adding to the figure’s battle-ready aesthetic is a cloth scarf/muffler.

The figure also includes an alternate arm part that is a reproduction of Ryu’s right arm eroded by the curse of the “Grip of Murder”.

In terms of weaponry, the figure is well-equipped for any ninja encounter. Alongside Ryu’s signature Dragon Sword and shuriken, the set includes the new weapons introduced in “NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge”: the formidable Eclipse Scythe and the powerful Lunar Staff.

These additions allow for even more diverse and dynamic action poses, showcasing the versatility of Ryu’s combat prowess.

For fans who pre-order the “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Ryu Hayabusa” figure through Kaiyodo’s directly managed stores (Kaiyodo Online Store, Hobby Lobby Tokyo/Kadoma, Kaiyodo China T-mall Flagship Store) or the Koei Tecmo Games Online Shop, an exclusive bonus weapon part will be included.

This bonus weapon is the sword “Jinran-maru” which Ryu borrowed from his ally Hayate.

Priced at 12,100 yen (tax included), the “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Ryu Hayabusa” figure is available for pre-order until August 1st, with a scheduled release date in January 2026.
