Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers Cour 2 Premieres July 2026

Following the conclusion of episode 12, titled Epilogue, official sources have confirmed that Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers will return for its second cour in July 2026.
The series, which is a modern sequel to the 1988 classic Yoroiden Samurai Trooper, also known as Ronin Warriors in Western markets, originally premiered its first set of episodes on January 6, 2026.

This new production from Bandai Namco Filmworks’ Sunrise studio arrives approximately 25 years after the 1991 release of the original franchise’s final OVA, Message.
The creative team is led by director Yoichi Fujita, known for his work on Gintama, alongside series composer Shogo Muto and character designer Yuhei Murota.
Hideo Okamoto has also returned to the franchise to oversee the mechanical designs of the iconic Yoroigear armor worn by the five young warriors.

The series follows these heroes as they defend the human world against a demonic invasion triggered by the shattering of the Demon Realm seal.

To mark the mid-season finale, the production team released a special teaser trailer and character cards for several new cast members joining the series.

The updated roster features Hirofumi Nojima as Toma Hashiba, Ryotaro Okiayu as Seiji Date, Nozomu Sasaki as Shin Mouri, and Tomohiro Nishimura as Shu Layfang.

An illustration was also shared by character designer Yuhei Murota to commemorate the finale:

While fans wait for the July 2026 return, the original 1980s anime series remains available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
