Yokohama’s Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market announces dates for 2025

The highly anticipated “Christmas Market in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse” will return for its 16th year, running for 35 days from Friday, November 21st, to Thursday, December 25th, 2025.

Ranked as the number one Christmas market people want to visit in Japan, the event attracted approximately 1.24 million visitors last year and is renowned for its authentic German atmosphere.

This year’s concept is “Time,” aiming to create new memories for guests by merging the 110-year history of the Red Brick Warehouse with the moments visitors spend at the market.

A key feature of the event is its dedication to authenticity, with traditional wooden huts (Hütten) and decorations imported directly from Germany to recreate a genuine European Christmas experience against the modern backdrop of the Minato Mirai skyline.

Main Attractions and Illuminations

The centerpiece of this year’s market will be a live fir tree, which at approximately 12 meters, will be the tallest in the event’s history. 

The tree will be adorned with over 22,000 colour-changing LEDs, with special lighting effects scheduled to occur multiple times per hour.

Stretching for 30 meters between the two warehouse buildings, the starlit “Illumination Roof” will once again create a magical, immersive space for visitors.

The authentic German-style wooden huts will house a variety of food and gift stalls, offering festive German classics like mulled wine and sausages, alongside Christmas goods such as snow globes.

Exclusive Annual Mugs

A popular tradition of the market is the release of new, exclusive mug designs each year.

For 2025, two types will be available:

• Original Mug

Available in two colours, featuring designs that depict the Red Brick Warehouse on the night of December 24th and the morning of December 25th.

• Premium Mug

A collaboration with the world-renowned tableware brand ‘Noritake’.

This limited-edition mug will be available in gold and silver designs and is sold as part of special packages, including the “Premium Lounge” and “Priority Admission Tickets.”

Visitor Options and a Comfortable Experience

To enhance the visitor experience, several options are available:

• Priority Admission Tickets: To reduce waiting times during peak periods, these tickets can be purchased in advance online.
• Premium Lounge: Returning for its third year, five exclusive, private rooms will be available for booking. These lounges offer a prime view of the giant Christmas tree and the Yokohama port, allowing guests to enjoy special menu items away from the crowds.

The event will also collaborate with other local attractions, including the “BALLPARK Xmas YOKOHAMA KANNAI 2025” event and seven luxury hotels in the Minato Mirai area, which will offer special accommodation packages that include priority tickets and premium mugs.
