Way Of The Hunter 2 Arriving On PS5 And Xbox Series

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Nine Rocks Games have announced that Way of the Hunter 2 will officially launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles alongside the PC version when it concludes its Early Access period.

The open-world hunting sequel arrived in Early Access for PC via Steam on March 26, 2026, with an initial price tag of $29.99 or €29.99.

Early adopters can take advantage of a 20 percent discount, bringing the price down to $23.99 or €23.99 until the promotion ends on April 9, 2026.

This new installment invites players to explore the vast Canadian wilderness of New Laurentia, a massive region designed for tracking big game such as moose, elk, bears, and bison.

The simulation aims for high levels of authenticity by featuring over 10 real-world brand partners providing officially licensed rifles, precision optics, and high-tech hunting equipment.

Players take on the role of a new hunter tasked with navigating unique challenges and interacting with a cast of NPCs, including a skilled dog trainer and a local warden.

A central mystery in the campaign involves investigating the unusual behavior of the moose population within the New Laurentia territory.

The Early Access phase is intended to be a collaborative process, allowing the development team to refine mechanics and systems based on community feedback before the full multi-platform release.

Key gameplay features currently available include a loyal hunting dog companion that can track blood trails and an improved bullet camera for precise shot analysis.

The game also introduces specialized hunting lodges for each territory where players can plan missions, display trophies, and unlock various equipment upgrades.

Exploration is supported by the use of vehicles and tents, which facilitate fast travel and allow players to skip time to reach ideal hunting conditions.

Way of the Hunter 2 is being built as a long-term platform that will receive consistent updates and expansions to eventually become the most advanced virtual hunting experience on the market.
