UNDERTALE’s Sans and Papyrus become adorable Gashapon mascots

Bandai is set to release a new line of Gashapon collectibles based on the iconic game “UNDERTALE”.
The new “UNDERTALE Pinch and Connect Mascot” collection of mini figures come attached to ball chain and lobster clasp attachment to allow fans to collect and connect miniature versions of popular characters from the critically acclaimed video game.
“UNDERTALE”, developed by Toby Fox, first captivated players upon its release in 2015.

This unique role-playing game is renowned for its innovative combat system that allows players to resolve encounters peacefully or violently.
Its distinctive pixel art style, witty dialogue, and acclaimed soundtrack have cemented its status as a cult classic and an influential title in the indie game scene.

The game’s characters, such as the pun-loving skeleton Sans and his enthusiastic brother Papyrus, have become iconic figures in pop culture.
The “Pinch and Connect Mascot” series is a popular line of Gashapon (capsule toy) collectibles known for their small size and ability to be linked together.

Each “UNDERTALE” mascot in this new collection measures approximately 3.3cm, making them perfect for attaching to bags, keys, or connecting with other mascots to create a personalized display.
The initial lineup for the “UNDERTALE Pinch and Connect Mascot” series features some of the game’s most beloved and recognizable characters:
- The iconic skeleton brothers, Sans and Papyrus, whose comedic banter and pivotal roles in the game have endeared them to countless players

- The shy ghost, Napstablook, known for his melancholic music and unique bullet patterns.

- The quirky, dog-like monster, Temmie, a fan-favorite for their endearing misspelled dialogue.

- And finally, the notorious Annoying Dog, Toby Fox’s recurring self-insert character, often depicted causing minor mischief.

Adding to their versatility, each character in the collection will be available in two distinct versions: one with a traditional ball chain and another with a lobster clasp, allowing for different attachment preferences.
The release of these “Pinch and Connect Mascots” offers “UNDERTALE” fans a new and affordable way to collect merchandise featuring their favorite characters.

The Gashapon format encourages collecting and trading, fostering community engagement among enthusiasts.
Fans can check Bandai’s Gashapon website for a full list of locations where the “UNDERTALE Pinch and Connect Mascot” will be available.
Each mascot will be priced at 300 yen (tax included) and as is typical of purchases made from gashapon machines, each one will provided at random.
