Tomodachi Life sequel reveals Spring 2026 release window and new trailer

A new trailer has been released for the next installment in the quirky life simulation series, Tomodachi Life, which has also revealed a more specific release window for the highly anticipated title.
The new trailer was shown during a Nintendo Direct presentation, held on the 12th of September.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is the first new entry in the beloved and surreal series in approximately thirteen years.

The Tomodachi Life games are a unique style of life simulation where players create characters and move them onto an island, where they can then take care of them and observe their daily lives and interactions.

The new trailer provided a first look at some of the gameplay from the upcoming sequel.
It showcased a detailed character creation screen with a wide variety of different options.

It also showed scenes of the player giving food to the island’s residents and introducing different residents to each other to encourage them to interact and form relationships.

The most significant new piece of information from the trailer was the confirmation of a more specific release window.

The game had previously only been announced for a general “2026” release.
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch, and it is now confirmed to be scheduled to be released in the spring of 2026.
