The Witch From Mercury’s Gundam Lfrith Jiu Returns for Exclusive US Re-Release
Premium Bandai US has officially opened pre-orders for the exclusive HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Jiu, allowing fans another opportunity to pick up the distinctive Mobile Suit since its initial US release in 2024.
Gundam Lfrith Jiu originates from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury – Vanadis Heart, an official side-story manga set during Ad Stella 106 and centered on pilot Kiyu Lavot.
The Mobile Suit stands apart from the main Witch From Mercury lineup through the asymmetrical appearance given by its oversized multipurpose weapon, which is recreated with newly sculpted parts for this 1/144 scale kit.
Known as the Tiger Hand, the large composite weapon can be carried on the Mobile Suit’s back or removed and connected to its right arm using a dedicated joint.
Its two grips can be repositioned, while an extending joint allows the arm section to open outward for more dramatic combat poses.
The weapon’s enormous manipulator is more than a static accessory, as the first and second joints on each finger from the index finger through the little finger can move independently.
These features allow the Tiger Hand to be displayed across a broad range of shooting and close-combat positions, capturing the unusual fighting style that defines Gundam Lfrith Jiu.
Clear-black parts are used for the Shell Units located around the head, chest, and shoulders, with selectable foil stickers included to represent both their activated and inactive appearances.
Bandai has also balanced the kit’s wide articulation with a straightforward assembly process, making it possible to create dynamic poses without overcomplicating the build.
Additional action scenes involving the Tiger Hand can be created using the separately sold Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Weapon Display Base.
The HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Jiu is available to pre-order through Premium Bandai US
for $24.00, with orders scheduled to close on October 16, 2026, unless the available allocation sells out earlier.
Orders are currently scheduled to ship in November 2026.
