The Gustav Karl Type 00 from Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash is getting a new model kit

A new model kit of the “Gustav Karl Type 00” from the movie “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” has been announced by Bandai Spirits.
The new Gunpla kit was revealed during the “2nd Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Broadcast.”

The kit will be released as part of the “High Grade” (HG) line, a popular series of 1/144 scale model kits known for a good balance of detail, articulation, and ease of assembly.
The Gustav Karl is the primary, mass-produced mobile suit of the Earth Federation Forces during the era of the Hathaway’s Flash film.

The unpainted prototype of the “Type 00” kit was shown for the first time during the broadcast, giving fans a first look at the sculpt and features.

It was revealed that the model will feature a high degree of articulation, including movable toes and other fine details.

The suit’s large, arm-mounted shield is also highly posable and can be held at various different angles.

This new release will offer fans of the Universal Century timeline a new version of the popular and imposing Federation mobile suit.
The “HG 1/144 Gustav Karl Type 00” will be priced at ¥3,850 (approx. $26 USD/£19 GBP) and it is scheduled to be released in February 2026.
