In an official message from the editorial department of the Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine, it was explained that the hiatus is a result of discussions between the creators and the editorial staff.

In consideration of the health of the series’ writer, Kanehito Yamada, and its artist, Tsukasa Abe, it has been decided that the series’ publication pace and format will be adjusted.

The creators are reportedly still continuing to write and draw the series during this period, and the editorial department has expressed its full support for them.
