The first-ever exhibition dedicated to Evangelion’s Kaworu Nagisa is now open

The first-ever special exhibition dedicated to the popular and enigmatic character Kaworu Nagisa from the Evangelion franchise has now opened.
The “‘Evangelion’ Series 30th Anniversary – The Final Messenger: Kaworu Nagisa Exhibition” is a deep dive into the history of the fan-favorite character.

A key highlight of the exhibition is the inclusion of exclusive, newly recorded voice messages from Kaworu’s original voice actor, Akira Ishida.
These special messages, which can only be heard at the event, greet visitors at both the entrance and the exit of the venue.

The exhibition area features a display of the original script from the 24th episode of the classic television anime, which was Kaworu’s first appearance in the series.

The walls are also lined with a large collection of scene photos from his various appearances throughout the franchise’s history.

A special corner is dedicated to showcasing a wide range of illustrations of the character from various collaborations and other media over the years.

The exhibition also features the first-ever public display of a new, 1/4 scale statue of the character.

A number of immersive photo spots are also available for fans to enjoy.

One of the main photo spots is a detailed recreation of the scene from the film Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, where Kaworu and the protagonist Shinji Ikari sit and talk on a bed.

The set includes a replica of the “S-DAT” music player, a key item from the scene.
A merchandise store at the venue is also selling a wide range of exclusive, exhibition-only goods.

The “Kaworu Nagisa Exhibition” is a traveling event and is currently being held at the Space Galleria on the 8th floor of the Animate Ikebukuro Main Store in Tokyo, where it is scheduled to run until the 13th of October, 2025.
Future engagements of the exhibition are scheduled for Osaka in November and Kyoto in January 2026.
