The Boys stars Antony Starr and Karl Urban announced for Tokyo Comic Con

A new wave of celebrity guests has been announced for the upcoming “Tokyo Comic Convention 2025,” revealing that Antony Starr and Karl Urban will be attending the event.
The two actors are the stars of the hugely popular and subversive superhero drama series, The Boys.

This is the second major guest announcement for the convention, following the recent reveal that Elijah Wood and Sean Astin from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as the legendary comic book artist Jim Lee, will also be in attendance.

Antony Starr is a New Zealand actor who gained global fame for his role as the terrifying and unhinged “supe,” Homelander, a performance which has earned him two Critics’ Choice Super Awards for “Best Villain in a Series.”

Karl Urban, also from New Zealand, is a fan-favorite actor with a long and varied career, known for roles such as Eomer in The Lord of the Rings, Dr. “Bones” McCoy in the modern Star Trek films, and Skurge in Thor: Ragnarok.

In The Boys, he plays the charismatic and brutal anti-supe vigilante, Billy Butcher, who is Homelander’s primary antagonist.
This will be Karl Urban’s second appearance at the event, following his previous visit to Tokyo Comic Con in 2017.
Both actors are scheduled to be in attendance for all three days of the convention.

They will be available for photo opportunities and autograph sessions with fans, with tickets for these specific events to be sold at a later date.
“Tokyo Comic Convention 2025” is a large-scale event celebrating movies, comics, and pop culture, held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba.
The event is scheduled to run from Friday, the 5th of December, to Sunday, the 7th of December, 2025.
