Street Fighter 6 Unveils Alex DLC Character Teaser Trailer
Capcom has officially released the teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6’s upcoming downloadable content (DLC) character Alex.
The trailer debuted on January 8, 2026, generating excitement for the new fighter who is slated to join the roster this spring.
Alex is a highly anticipated addition, known for his prominence in the Street Fighter III series and his grappling-heavy move set.
He was first introduced in Street Fighter III: New Generation as the intended new protagonist of the Street Fighter franchise.
A powerful wrestler from Manhattan, he was designed to move the series away from the traditional Asian martial arts focus of Ryu and Ken
Driven by a desire for revenge, Alex entered the third World Warrior tournament after his mentor, Tom, was defeated and hospitalized by Gill, the leader of the Illuminati.
Unlike traditional heavy grapplers like Zangief, Alex possesses surprising mobility and a variety of mid-range strikes.
His inclusion in the newest iteration of the series is part of Capcom’s ongoing commitment to expanding the game’s playable roster and competitive depth through post-launch content.
