Sonic the Hedgehog is heading in a very different direction with a newly announced collaboration that swaps high-speed action for hands-on creativity.

SEGA has partnered with crochet kit specialist The Woobles to launch the “Sonic x The Woobles Collection,” bringing several of the franchise’s most recognizable characters into the world of beginner-friendly crafting.

The collection gives fans the opportunity to create their own crocheted versions of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles through guided kits designed to accommodate a range of skill levels.

Alongside the character kits, the collaboration also introduces a “Chaos Emerald Accessory Kit,” which includes one randomly selected emerald from a choice of seven colors, adding a collectible surprise element inspired by Sonic’s ongoing search for the legendary gems.

Each kit has been developed with accessibility in mind, continuing The Woobles’ mission of helping newcomers learn crochet through clear instructions and guided projects.

Sonic is offered as an Intermediate-level project and is recommended for crafters aged 12 and older.

The Tails and Knuckles kits are both classified as Beginner+ projects, making them suitable for those who already have a small amount of crochet experience but are still relatively new to the hobby.
