Sonic Rumble’s new pre-launch campaign needs 10 million players to help unlock a free Chao
Sega has officially launched a new pre-registration campaign for its upcoming, free-to-play “party royale” game, Sonic Rumble.
The campaign is a community-wide effort that aims to achieve a total of 10 million “Early Rumblers” before the game’s launch.
The “Early Rumblers” total includes all pre-registrants, pre-orders, wish-list registrations, and participants from the game’s pre-release.
If this ambitious goal is met, all players will receive a special, in-game “Chao (Buddy)” item as a free gift when the full game’s service begins.
This new campaign is the final push for the game, which is scheduled for a worldwide release on Wednesday, the 5th of November, 2025.
Sonic Rumble is a multiplayer party game where players compete in a series of three-round challenges to see who can collect the most rings.
It will be a fully cross-platform title, available for iOS, Android, and PC (via Steam and Google Play Games), allowing players on all devices to compete against each other in real time.
The game will feature over 75 different stages with various rules, such as “Run” (a race to the finish), “Survival” (avoiding obstacles), and “Team” (working together).
Players can also customize their character’s “skill” loadout, allowing for endless strategic combinations.
A “Co-op Battle” mode will also be available, where players can team up to take down giant enemies.
To celebrate the release date announcement, a “Follow & Repost” campaign is also currently active on the official Sonic Rumble X account.
Participants have a chance to win one of 500 “E-Pay” gift cards, worth up to ¥10,000 (approx. $68 USD / £54 GBP).
