Sonic dashes into “PSO2 New Genesis ver.2” for 34th anniversary collab
To celebrate the 34th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog on June 23rd, 2025, Sega has announced an exciting collaboration event for its popular online RPG, PSO2 New Genesis ver.2 (NGS ver.2).
The crossover officially kicks off on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, bringing the iconic blue blur’s signature speed and style into the vast universe of Halpha.
This highly anticipated event marks a significant partnership between two of Sega’s beloved franchises, allowing players to fuse the fast-paced action of Sonic with the expansive sci-fi world of NGS ver.2.
The developers are known for their collaborations, having previously integrated various popular IPs into the Phantasy Star Online 2 universe.
To commemorate this special collaboration, the NGS artwork team has released a new visual showcasing original collaboration costumes.
