Sold-out Snow Miku model kit gets an updated re-release after 4 years

Orders have officially opened for a re-release of a sold-out model kit from Kotobukiya, based on a snow-themed version of the world’s most famous virtual singer.
The new “Frame Music Girl: Snow Miku Another Color Ver.” is part of a collaboration project between Kotobukiya’s popular Frame Arms Girl line and Hatsune Miku.

Frame Arms Girl is a spin-off of Kotobukiya’s original Frame Arms mecha line, which reimagines the mechs as bishoujo-style characters, and is known for its high level of customization, while Hatsune Miku is a global pop icon who began as a voice synthesizer.

The original “Frame Music Girl: Snow Miku” was released back in 2021, and this updated “Another Color Ver.” features a new color scheme arranged by the original designer, Humikane Shimada.

The non-scale kit stands approximately 15 centimeters tall.

It comes packed with a host of accessories, including three pre-painted face parts: a “singing face,” a “looking left face,” and a “looking right face.”

To fit the winter theme, the set also includes a removable scarf and mittens.

Other accessories include a mic and mic stand, speaker drones with clear bases, and a special base for Miku herself.

The kit also features arm parts without sleeves, five pairs of PVC hands, and decals for her eyes.

The model features an articulated skirt for a wide range of leg motion and is equipped with 3mm joints, making it compatible with parts from the M.S.G (Modeling Support Goods) and Frame Arms series.

The “Frame Music Girl: Snow Miku Another Color Ver.” is priced at 6,380 yen (approx. $41.44 USD / £31.51 GBP).

Pre-orders are now open directly via Kotobukiya and their official international retail partners, such as HobbyLink Japan.
The model kit is scheduled to ship in April 2026.
