Sakura Shake returns to Shake Shack Japan for spring 2025

Shake Shack will be introducing some Japanese flavor to its typically American inspired menu this month.
The popular Sakura Shake, also known as the Shack-ura Shake, will return to the menu at all Shake Shack locations across Japan.

Each year, the arrival of the cherry blossoms sees Japanese food and drink retailers such as Starbucks, Lotteria, PRONTO and hotel restaurants, add new sakura flavored items to their menus.
Unlike their competitors, Shake Shack is not introducing a new menu item as the Sakura Shake is a seasonal tradition and was first introduced to their menu in Spring 2016.
It is one of Shake Shack’s most popular seasonal items and returns to the menu each year during the cherry blossom season.

The Sakura Shake is made with Shake Shack’s signature vanilla frozen custard blended with a specially crafted cherry blossom-flavored sauce and fresh milk.
The shakes are mixed to order using Shake Shack’s iconic hand-spun machines.
The result is a light, refreshing shake that releases a gentle, sweet aroma of cherry blossoms with each sip.
For an additional fee, customers can also add whipped cream to the drink.

During the current sales period, Shake Shack will serve its small-sized Sakura Shakes and drinks in special limited-edition cups featuring a white and pink cherry blossom design.

The Sakura Shake will be available from Wednesday, February 26th until early April and will cost 715 yen (approx. $4.79 USD / £3.78 GBP) for a Small shake and 946 yen (approx. $6.34 USD / £5.01 GBP) for a Regular shake.
