Sadako from The Ring is being turned into a "Noodle Stopper" prize figure

A new prize figure has been announced by the manufacturer FuRyu, which will be themed around the iconic horror character, Sadako.

“Noodle Stopper Figures” are one of FuRyu’s most popular and recognisable types of prize figure, designed with the specific, practical function of holding down the paper lid of an instant noodle cup while the contents cook.

This unique purpose means the figures are sculpted in a sitting or lounging pose.

This new, and frankly terrifying, addition to the product line features Sadako Yamamura from the legendary horror movie series, The Ring.

The figure is a three-dimensional recreation of her most iconic scene, depicting her as she crawls out of the cursed well.

The sculpt features a high level of detail, including her long, stringy hair, her peeled-back fingernails, and the realistic texture of the well itself.

When placed on top of a cup of noodles, the figure will give the impression that Sadako is emerging from the cup.

As a “prize item,” this figure will not be available for direct purchase at retail stores within Japan, and it will be exclusively available to be won in crane games and other arcade machines.

The “Noodle Stopper Figure – Sadako” is scheduled to begin its rollout in amusement facilities across Japan in April 2026.

The figure may appear in international markets, as, depending on licensing, FuRyu prize products are often sold at most reputable hobby goods stores.
