PUMA to release new Sonic the Hedgehog collab sneakers and apparel

A new collaboration has been announced between the global sportswear brand PUMA and Sega’s iconic Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
Following a series of previous, successful partnerships, this new collection expands the lineup to also include the popular characters Shadow the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower.

The collection features a lineup of three different, original sneaker models, each one specially designed with a different character as its inspiration.

The footwear also includes a number of playful and customizable elements, such as character-shaped shrouds, detachable heel tabs, and interchangeable Formstrips.

The full sneaker lineup is as follows:
- INHALE SONIC

A model inspired by Sonic, in his signature blue colorway.

- INVERSE TAILS

A model inspired by Tails, in his orange and white color scheme.

- INVERSE SHADOW

A model inspired by Shadow, in his black and red colors.

In addition to the footwear, an extensive line of apparel and accessories will also be released.

The apparel is designed to fuse a “motorsport style” with the world of the game, and it includes items such as a track jacket and pants set, a hoodie and shorts with drawcords designed to look like golden rings, and a racer shirt with a large Sonic graphic.

The collaboration also extends into the digital world.
A free “decal pack” will be made available in the new game, Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds.

This pack will allow all players to customize their in-game vehicles with eight different, original PUMA-themed decals.
Each of the three new sneaker models is priced at ¥19,800 (approx. $135 USD/£99 GBP).

The new “PUMA x Sonic the Hedgehog” collection is scheduled to be released at PUMA stores, on the official PUMA online store, and at other select retailers across Japan.

The launch is scheduled for Thursday, the 30th of October, 2025.
