Project SEKAI is getting a Hatsune Miku and Tamagotchi crossover event

A new in-game collaboration has been announced for the popular mobile rhythm game, Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat. Hatsune Miku, which will be a partnership with Bandai’s iconic “Tamagotchi” brand.
The announcement was made during an official livestream broadcast held on Monday, the 28th of July, 2025.

Tamagotchi was a massive global phenomenon in the 1990s, introducing a generation to the concept of a digital, handheld virtual pet that required care and attention to grow.

This new collaboration will bring the nostalgic world of Tamagotchi into the modern rhythm game, Project SEKAI.
The event will feature new, original illustrations and in-game character cards based on a crossover between the two franchises.

A total of four limited-edition 4-star collaboration members will be available, and all four of the character pairings have now been revealed.
The featured pairings are as follows:
- Mametchi is paired with Hatsune Miku

- Mimitchi is paired with Shiho Hinomori

- Memetchi is paired with Azusawa Kohane

- Kuchipatchi is paired with Kusanagi Nene

In addition to these main characters, six 2-star collaboration members will also be implemented in the game, along with special collaboration-themed furniture for the in-game rooms.

Full details regarding the specifics of the event are scheduled to be revealed during another livestream in August.
During the same broadcast, a separate “tie-up” event with the Atlus RPG, Persona 5 Royal, was also announced.

That event, which begins next week on Monday, the 4th of August, will add the song “Life Will Change” to the game and will feature a gacha with limited-edition “Phantom Thief” themed costumes.
The Tamagotchi collaboration event is scheduled to launch in late September, with a specific date to be announced closer to the event’s start.
