Prime 1 Studio Reveals Massive Godzilla Minus One Life-Size Bust

Pre-orders are officially set to open for a new high-end statue that celebrates the recent cinematic success of the Godzilla franchise.
Manufacturer Prime 1 Studio has revealed the “Godzilla -1.0 Life Size Bust” to honor the 70th anniversary of the series.

This release follows the global acclaim of Godzilla Minus One which earned praise for its innovative visual effects and deep human drama.

The film serves as a landmark 70th-anniversary project for the King of the Monsters and has solidified the character’s status as a global icon.

The massive piece, which is limited to just 50 units, is based on the appearance of the creature in the 2023 film and focuses on the sheer mass and pressure of the monster as it advances through the ocean.

It stands 87cm tall with a total depth of 91cm and a width of 68cm, weighing approximately 47.7kg owing to the fact that it is constructed from high-quality polystone to ensure a professional finish.

Prime 1 Studio have described the bust as “life size” not as it matches the height of Godzilla itself, but as it is sized to match the average human.

Designers utilized translucent resin for the eyes to achieve a realistic lens-like quality.

The muscular structure of the chest and arms is highly detailed to showcase the physical power of the monster.

The skin texture features dark tones that suggest a life spent in the deep sea for many decades.

The bust includes built-in LED units in both the mouth and the dorsal fins.

These lights emit a pale blue glow to simulate the tense moment just before the creature fires its signature heat ray.

This release also includes a small collectible mini statue that is exclusive to the Japanese market.

The mini statue stands 18cm tall and features blue dorsal fins painted to match the energy charging effect seen on screen.

The price for this limited-edition bust is 315,590 yen (approximately $2,100 USD / £1,650 GBP)
