Pre-orders open for premium Monster Hunter Wilds sukajan jackets
Capcom has announced a collaboration between its hit game, Monster Hunter Wilds, and the city of Yokosuka, Japan.
The partnership will produce a collection of premium, made-in-Japan “sukajan,” or souvenir jackets, and T-shirts.
The sukajan is a style of jacket that originated in the city of Yokosuka in the years following World War II, often featuring elaborate, Japanese-style embroidery, and was popular among American soldiers as a souvenir.
This new collection brings the world of the newly released Monster Hunter game to this iconic piece of Japanese fashion history.
The jackets are being produced in the city of Kiryū, a region that was central to sukajan production during its golden age in the 1950s, using reproduced fabrics and ribbing from that era.
The intricate embroidery for the collection was created by the sukajan artist, Hiromi Yokochi.
The lineup features three different jacket designs, each based on a monster or character from the new game.
One jacket features “Arkveld,” with its monster icon on the front and a large, roaring portrait on the back.
A second design is themed after the thunder dragon “Rey Dau,” also with its icon on the front and a full-sized depiction on the back, surrounded by lightning.
The third jacket is based on the series’ popular Felyne companion character, the “Airou,” with paw prints on the front and a full embroidered image of the character on the back.
In addition to the jackets, a series of more affordable T-shirts are also being released, which feature prints of the same sukajan artwork.

- Price: ¥202,400 (including tax, approx. $1370 USD/£1019 GBP)
- Monster Hunter Wilds Sukajan Print T-Shirt (Arkveld, Le Dau, or Airou)
- Price: ¥11,000 (including tax, approx. $74 USD/£55 GBP)
Pre-orders for all items are now open via the official Capcom online store, with the pre-order window for the jackets set to close on the 1st of September, 2025.
The pre-order window for the T-shirts will close around two weeks earlier on the 15th of August, 2025.
