Pre-orders open for new figure of Dandadan’s invisible Kaiju

A new figure of the transparent/invisible Kaiju from the popular anime series Dandadan has been announced by the manufacturer MegaHouse.
The new product is an entry in the “Occultic Soft Vinyl Collection” and is based on the monster’s redesigned, anime-exclusive appearance.

In the original manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, the design of the kaiju featured horns that were very similar to those of Gomora, a famous monster from the classic Ultraman series.
To avoid potential copyright issues, the creature’s design was significantly altered for the anime adaptation.

The new, animated version of the kaiju was redesigned to resemble a different, but equally famous, Ultraman monster: Neronga.
The anime also gave it new abilities that were not present in the manga, such as the power to become invisible and to fire an electric discharge beam, which are also signature abilities of Neronga.

This new figure is a “sofubi,” or soft vinyl, recreation of the redesigned, anime-specific version of the monster.

It is a pre-painted, complete figure measuring approximately 150 millimeters in length, and a key feature of its design is the way it replicates the creature’s new, anime-only invisibility ability.

The tip of the figure’s tail is molded in a translucent, clear material, giving it a disappearing effect.

Pre-orders for the “Dandadan Occultic Soft Vinyl Collection – Transparent Kaiju” soft vinyl figure are now open with most reputable hobby goods retailers, and its recommended retail price is ¥7,480 (approx. $50 USD/£38 GBP).
It is scheduled to be released at hobby shops and online retailers in May 2026, though specific dates may vary by store.
