Pre-orders open as Steiff’s official Kirby collab plush gets a re-release
Pre-orders have officially opened for a second production run of the high-end collaboration plush between Kirby and the renowned German brand Steiff.
Steiff is a historic German brand known for creating the first teddy bear and is celebrated for its high-quality craftsmanship.
This collaboration features the popular Nintendo hero, Kirby, hand-crafted by artisans using traditional techniques.
The plush uses mohair, a natural fiber made from Angora goat hair, to give Kirby a sophisticated and textured finish with a calm pink hue.
It features the “Kirby” logo embroidered in gold on the sole of the foot.
It also bears the “Button in Ear” tag, which is the world’s oldest trademark and proof of its Steiff heritage.
Each plush comes with a serial number tag, emphasizing its status as a collector’s item.
It is delivered in an original box designed to look like Kirby’s house, making it perfect for display even while packaged.
The Steiff Kirby plush is priced at 44,000 yen (approx. $290.40 USD / £231.00 GBP).
In-store pre-orders began on November 27 at Kiddyland Harajuku, Kiddyland Osaka Umeda, and Yamashiroya.
Online pre-orders are scheduled to begin on a dedicated website starting February 2, 2026.
This announcement adds to a busy winter season for the Kirby franchise.
FamilyMart is currently holding “Kirby’s Super Satisfied Festival,” featuring food items celebrating the recently released Kirby Air Riders game.
Additionally, the Kirby Café locations have launched their “WINTER 2025” event with exclusive menus and merchandise.
