Pokémon Announces New and Exclusive 30th Anniversary Charizard TCG Figure

The upcoming China-exclusive “30th Anniversary Celebration Charizard Figure Gift Box” revolves around the classic Charizard illustration by Mitsuhiro Arita, recreating the Fire-type Pokémon with its wings spread and flames erupting from its mouth just as it appears on the famous card.

Charizard has remained one of the defining Pokémon of the Trading Card Game since its earliest years, with the original artwork becoming closely associated with the huge collector interest surrounding early Pokémon cards around the world.

The 30th Anniversary Celebration expansion brings that artwork back with a special anniversary treatment, while the new China-exclusive gift box takes the idea considerably further by translating Charizard’s pose into a physical figure for the first time in this form.

A jumbo Simplified Chinese Charizard card is included to display behind the figure, and the gift box also contains 15 Simplified Chinese 30th Anniversary Celebration booster packs, adding extra value for collectors.

Each Chinese booster contains six foil cards, giving the box 90 randomized cards in total, with every pack also containing one of the 30 differently illustrated Pikachu cards created for the anniversary expansion.

The packs can also contain anniversary versions of cards drawn from across the Pokémon TCG’s history, including the classic Charizard itself and Pikachu & Zekrom-GX.

The Charizard Figure Gift Box arrives alongside the recently revealed “Dream Painting 30th Anniversary Pikachu Figure Set,” which transforms selected artwork from the same anniversary expansion into miniature figures.

The concept builds on Pokémon China’s wider Dream Painting series, which only recently revealed a new “Eevee & Evolutions Collection” featuring Eevee alongside Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon.

Instead of just producing figures based on the Pokémon themselves, these releases are focused on translating fan-favorite TCG illustrations into physical form, allowing collectors to place the original card artwork directly alongside its sculpted interpretation.

The Pokémon China 30th Celebration Charizard Figure Collection is priced at RMB 780 (approx. $116 USD / £85 GBP) and includes one Charizard figure, one jumbo Simplified Chinese Charizard card, and 15 30th Anniversary Celebration booster packs.

The collection will officially launch in mainland China at 10:00 AM China Standard Time on September 16, 2026, with no US, Japanese, or wider international release announced for this particular Charizard box at this stage.
