Springtime means it’s time for seafood pizza at Pizza-La

Pizza-La is ushering in the spring season with a new menu featuring the highly anticipated “Bottarga and Sakura Shrimp Seafood Pizza”, a limited-time offering promising a fusion of seafood flavors.
It features a topping of sakura shrimp, a spring delicacy known for its sweet, fragrant taste as well as rich and savory bottarga, an Italian dried mullet roe.

The pizza’s visual appeal has been designed with spring in mind, with its pinkish hue reminiscent of blooming cherry blossoms, the iconic symbol of spring in Japan.
Apart from the shrimp and bottarga, the pizza features a selection of other premium seafood ingredients including tender squid and succulent scallops.
It also features a special garlic-infused sauce to complement the seafood toppings.
Pizza-La have also considered the preparation of the toppings and how to get the best out of them.
The sakura shrimp are grilled to release their full aromatic potential, becoming sweeter and more flavorful. The bottarga has been sourced from Sardinia, Italy and is carefully selected from numerous varieties for its moist, creamy, and mild characteristics.

To preserve its delicate flavor, the bottarga is added after the pizza is baked, ensuring that its original taste and rich texture are unaffected by the pizza oven.
The “Bottarga and Sakura Shrimp Seafood Pizza” is available in three sizes:
- Personal (P) – 3,000 yen (approx. $20.04 USD / £15.84 GBP)
- Medium (M) – 3,480 yen (approx. $23.24 USD / £18.38 GBP)
- Large (L) – 5,740 yen (approx. $38.34 USD / £30.31 GBP)
The introduction of the new spring menu also sees the removal of popular winter favorites, including the “Rich Crab Rich” range of pizza, which will be discontinued on Wednesday, March 5th.

The “Rich Crab Rich” series, features popular crab-centric pizzas like the Red Snow Crab, Crab Mayo and Winter Club pizzas.

The discontinuation of these winter pizzas is a natural part of Pizza-La’s seasonal menu rotation.
This practice allows the company to introduce fresh, innovative pizzas that align with the changing seasons and customer preferences.

The “Rich Crab Rich” series, with its focus on rich crab flavors, was a perfect fit for the winter months, while the new spring menu will feature lighter, seafood-based options.
With the new “Bottarga and Sakura Shrimp Seafood Pizza” being a seasonal menu item, it will only be available for a limited time.
If you want to try it, you’ll need to head to your nearest Pizza-La store, or order take-out, soon to enjoy this new spring themed pizza!
