Orders open for official PlayStation 30th anniversary watch collection

Boutique watchmaker Anicorn has teamed up with Sony Interactive Entertainment to honor over three decades of gaming heritage with a nostalgic new collection.
This latest collaboration pays tribute to the console that revolutionized the industry in 1994, encapsulating the aesthetic of the 32-bit era in a series of intricate wristwatches.

The flagship of this release is “The First PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch,” a premium automatic timepiece restricted to a production run of just 300 units worldwide.

Priced at $780.00 USD, the design is packed with visual references to the original hardware.

The dial and strap showcase the four geometric shapes; Triangle, Circle, Cross, and Square, that have defined the brand’s identity for thirty years.

In a creative interpretation of the original controller’s interface, the hour and minute hands have been sculpted to mimic the rubber “Start” and “Select” buttons, while the crown bears an engraving of the “Power” icon, designed to evoke the tactile memory of booting up the system.

The top cover is finished with the classic multicolor logo, a symbol of the innovation that captured the hearts of gamers globally.

Accompanying the mechanical watch is a unique accessory dubbed the “SAVE. LOAD. OVERWRITE. Memory Capsule.”

This physical replica remains faithful to the design of the original PlayStation Memory Card but contains modern functionality.

Embedded with an NFC chip, the card allows users to tap it against a device to access a digital “Memory Board,” an interactive space inspired by game save screens where owners can record their own personal moments.

For fans seeking a more kinetic design, the collaboration also includes the “Play Symbol” series, priced at $250.00 USD each.

These watches feature a unique mechanism where the iconic controller shapes float freely across the dial, shifting position with the wearer’s movement.

This line is available in two distinct colorways: “Dark Mode,” which pairs a black backdrop with colorful symbols, and “Light Mode,” which features a silver finish accented by a blue second hand and black symbols.

The “First PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch” and the “Play Symbol” models went on sale on December 18 exclusively through the Anicorn online store.
