Orders open for new METAL ROBOT Spirits figure of Amuro Ray’s ν Gundam
A new premium action figure of the iconic ν Gundam from the classic anime film, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, has been announced by Bandai Spirits.
The new product is the latest entry in the METAL ROBOT Spirits line, a brand of collector-focused figures known for its use of die-cast metal parts, sharp sculpting, and a high degree of articulation.
The METAL ROBOT Spirits line already features a large number of Gundams, including the Legend Gundam, GFreD, and the recently announced Wing Zero from Gundam Wing.
The ν Gundam, also known as the Nu Gundam, is the final mobile suit piloted by the original series protagonist, Amuro Ray, and is famous for its role in his climactic final battle against his rival, Char Aznable.
This new figure is a faithful, approximately 15 cm-tall recreation of the mobile suit.
The design features a high level of detail, including intricate sculpting on the soles of the feet and the reverse side of the shield, as well as printed personal markings.
The figure comes with a full set of its signature armaments.
These include a beam rifle and a New Hyper Bazooka, which can be mounted on the mobile suit’s back.
Its most famous weapon system, the six wing-like Fin Funnels, are also included.
The funnels can be displayed in their deployed, attacking formation using a special set of included joint and effect parts.
The set also comes with three different types of beam saber effect parts.
In addition to a standard beam, it includes a wide, slashing effect and a smaller, “idling” state effect, which are designed to replicate specific moments from the mobile suit’s duel with the Sazabi.
A dedicated stand and support arm are also included for stable posing.
The “METAL ROBOT Spirits ν Gundam” is priced at 22,000 yen (approx. $149 USD / £112 GBP) and pre-orders for the figure opened at general hobby goods stores on Friday, the 1st of August, 2025.
The figure is scheduled to be released in January of 2026.
