One Piece’s Most Sought-After Sanji Figure Finally Returns After 10 Years

Pre-orders have officially opened for the return of one of the most popular entries in the One Piece “Portrait.Of.Pirates” figure series from MegaHouse.
The newly revamped 1/8 scale figure of Sanji recreates a 2016 release in the “Portrait.Of.Pirates S.O.C” collection, which takes a different approach from traditional action poses by depicting fan-favorite One Piece characters in relaxed seated positions.

Originally created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997 and follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates on their quest to find the legendary One Piece treasure left behind by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

The franchise has continued to grow far beyond its manga origins, with the television anime currently adapting the Elbaph arc following the Straw Hat crew’s escape from Egghead Island, Netflix producing a live-action adaptation that has already reached its second season, and WIT STUDIO preparing the upcoming anime remake, The One Piece.

This refreshed release revisits the original “Portrait.Of.Pirates S.O.C” Sanji statue, which became a fan favorite thanks to its casual interpretation of the Straw Hat Pirates’ talented cook.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the initial release, MegaHouse has revived the figure as the new Ver.R edition, featuring refreshed paint applications while preserving the sculpt that made the original release so highly regarded among collectors.

The statue portrays Sanji relaxing in a chair, perfectly capturing the suave personality and effortless confidence that have made him one of the most popular members of the Straw Hat crew.

As the former sous chef of the floating Baratie restaurant, Sanji is renowned for his world-class culinary skills despite his sharp tongue, and his lifelong ambition remains discovering the legendary All Blue, the mythical sea said to contain ingredients from every ocean in the world.

The updated paintwork enhances the premium sculpt with refined shading and richer colors, highlighting everything from Sanji’s tailored suit and signature blond hairstyle to his calm expression and unmistakable gentlemanly charm.

Rather than depicting one of his explosive kicking attacks, the relaxed seated pose allows the sculpt to showcase Sanji’s cool personality, creating a sophisticated display piece that stands apart from more action-oriented One Piece collectibles.

The Portrait.Of.Pirates One Piece “S.O.C” Sanji Ver.R statue is priced at ¥19,800 (approx. $134 USD / £100 GBP), with pre-orders now available through Premium Bandai ahead of its scheduled release in November 2026.
