New “Retro Arcade Dock” transforms your Nintendo Switch 2 into a mini arcade cabinet
A new crowdfunding campaign has been launched for a unique peripheral for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, the “Retro Arcade Dock.”
This new device, from the company Smiley Partner, is designed to transform the home console into a “real arcade cabinet.”
The dock features a built-in, old-school joystick and a full, eight-button layout.
According to the campaign, the controls are designed to deliver the nostalgic “clicking” sound and excitement of a real arcade, allowing players to experience their games in a new way.
The “Retro Arcade Dock” is also designed with portability in mind, featuring detachable parts for easy transport.
It also includes a convenient storage space on its back, which can be used to hold Nintendo Switch game cards.
The crowdfunding campaign for the new dock is currently live on the Japanese platform “CAMPFIRE.”
The project has already been a massive success, achieving 681% of its initial ¥100,000 goal at the time of this writing.
