New premium Kill la Kill statue focuses on Ryuko and Satsuki’s rivalry

Prime 1 Studio has officially announced a stunning new addition to their “Ultimate Premium Masterline” series, capturing one of anime’s most intense rivalries.
The new “Kill la Kill: Ryuko Matoi vs. Satsuki Kiryuin” statue was unveiled during the manufacturer’s “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XVI: REALMS BEYOND TIME” broadcast on December 26.

This ambitious 1/4 scale diorama brings to life the central conflict of Studio Trigger’s hit anime series Kill la Kill.
The sculpt freezes a dramatic moment of combat between the series’ two protagonists, Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuin.

Ryuko, the rebellious transfer student searching for her father’s killer, is depicted wielding her signature red Scissor Blade.

Opposite her stands Satsuki, the iron-willed student council president of Honnouji Academy, holding her katana, Bakuzan.
The statue captures the two warriors in a deadlock, with their weapons pressed against one another in a spark-flying tsubazeriai (sword locking) pose.

Designers have paid close attention to the facial expressions, depicting the characters glaring at each other with intense ferocity.

The dynamic posing reflects the high-octane energy and distinct visual style that director Hiroyuki Imaishi established in the original 2013 anime.

The base and surrounding effects are designed to emphasize the power of the clash, fitting the “Ultimate Premium” label of the product line.

This reveal was part of a major wave of announcements from Prime 1 Studio, which also included the reveal of a prototype of One Punch Man’s Saitama & Genos.

Both statues highlight the studio’s commitment to recreating iconic anime duos in large-scale formats.
Popular gaming franchises also featured, with a trio of statues based on Amazon’s Fallout TV series and a detailed new figure of Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith also revealed.

As with other prototypes revealed during the showcase, pricing and specific release dates for the Kill la Kill statue have not yet been finalized.
Further details regarding pre-orders are expected to be announced by Prime 1 Studio in the coming months.
