New premium Initial D replica car collection includes Takumi’s AE86, Keisuke’s RX-7 and Iketani’s S13

Takara Tomy has announced a new line of products in a collaboration between its adult-focused “Tomica” brand and the legendary street racing manga, Initial D.
The new collection is being released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the manga’s original serialization.

Initial D, created by Shuichi Shigeno, is a hugely influential series that had a massive impact on the global JDM car scene, telling the story of Takumi Fujiwara and his iconic Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86.

This new collaboration features four different products, including a new “Steering View” display concept and a light-up diorama.
The full product lineup is as follows:
- Tomica Premium unlimited STEERING VIEW Initial D AE86 Trueno
- Price: ¥4,730

This set includes a die-cast model of Takumi Fujiwara’s AE86 and a buildable, miniature replica of the car’s dashboard, designed to create a “driver’s perspective” display.

The car features working pop-up headlights.

- Tomica Premium unlimited STEERING VIEW Initial D FD3S RX-7
- Price: ¥4,730

A companion set featuring Keisuke Takahashi’s FD3S RX-7, which also includes a buildable dashboard and a car with working pop-up headlights.

- Tomica Premium unlimited Initial D Fujiwara Tofu Shop
- Price: ¥5,280

A buildable diorama of the iconic Fujiwara Tofu Shop, the protagonist’s home.

This set features a unique, battery-operated light-up gimmick that projects the silhouettes of Takumi and his father, Bunta, onto the windows, recreating a scene from the series.

- Tomica Premium unlimited Initial D Nissan Silvia S13 (Koichiro Iketani)
- Price: ¥1,430

A detailed die-cast model of the Nissan Silvia S13 belonging to the character Koichiro Iketani, which replicates his specific custom parts, including the bucket seats, wheels, and team sticker.

The new collection is being released under the “Tomica Premium unlimited” line, which focuses on detailed recreations of vehicles from popular media.
Pre-orders for the new items are currently open on the official Takara Tomy Mall online store.
The products are scheduled for a general release in December at toy stores, department stores, and Tomica Shops across Japan.
