New piano album continues Chrono Trigger’s 30th anniversary celebrations

A new album of piano arrangements has been announced for the legendary role-playing game, Chrono Trigger.

“CHRONO TRIGGER Piano Soundscape Arrangement” is being released by Square Enix as part of the ongoing celebration of the game’s 30th anniversary.

Chrono Trigger, which was first released in 1995, is widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time, beloved for its epic, time-traveling story and its iconic and unforgettable musical score.

This new album features a total of twelve new arrangements, with a focus on the game’s famous and beloved character theme songs.

The full tracklist for the album is as follows:

  2. Gonzalez’s Song ~ Battle ~ Fanfare 1
  3. Wind Scene
  4. Frog’s Theme
  5. Lavos’s Theme
  6. Robo’s Theme
  7. Ayla’s Theme
  8. Magus’s Castle ~ Confusing Melody ~ Battle with Magus
  9. Corridors of Time
  10. Schala’s Theme
  11. Crono & Marle ~ A Distant Promise ~
  12. To Far Away Times

This new album is just one part of a larger musical celebration for the game’s anniversary.

It was also recently announced that a full, orchestral concert, “CHRONO TRIGGER Orchestra Concert: The Melody that Crosses Time,” will take place.

The concert will feature the prestigious Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the internationally acclaimed Nicholas Buc, and will be held at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A.

The “CHRONO TRIGGER Piano Soundscape Arrangement” album is priced at ¥3,630 (approx. $25 USD/£18 GBP).

An exclusive “Mega-Jacket” is also being offered as a pre-order bonus at Amazon Japan.

The new album is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, the 26th of November, 2025.

The orchestra concert is scheduled for Saturday, the 17th of January, and Sunday, the 18th of January, 2026.
